subTerra is a metal detecting log and find tracking application.
Information collected by subTerra
You can use subTerra to track the following types of information:
- Location data to track the position of your finds.
- Location data to track your movement as you detect.
- Location data to record the position of your photographs.
Your information
- None of your information is ever sent to the developer.
- None of your personal data is ever shared or sold to a third party.
How subTerra uses your information
subTerra uses collected data solely to:
- Store and manage user detecting history.
- Convert precise, anonymous GPS coordinates to what3words three word addresses.
Third-party services
The following services are used by subTerra:
- what3words api: Converts GPS coordinates into three word addresses.
- Surge: Used for mathematical calculations.
- NominatimKit: Provides the map search functionality using OpenStreetMap data.
Data storage and security
- All of your data is stored locally on your device.
- No automatic transmission of any user identifiable data ever occurs.
User rights and controls
- You can modify location permissions at any time in Settings.
- All digs, finds, images and landowner details can be deleted at any time.
